David Damato

David Damato is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Citadel. With more than two decades of experience, he has built and led high-performing cybersecurity teams supporting the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Fortune 500 companies, and some of the industry's most successful startups. Before joining Citadel, David served as the CISO at Aon, a Fortune 500 firm with 50,000 employees in 120+ countries, and Gemini, one of the first regulated cryptocurrency exchanges, managing over $30B in assets. Earlier in his career, he was part of the executive teams at two major security startups: Mandiant (now part of Google Cloud) and Tanium, where he held leadership roles as Managing Director and CSO. David began his career at Raytheon and PwC’s Federal Advanced Programs, focusing on cybersecurity for the DoD and other federal agencies.
